Michael Fassbender has appeared at a Cannes photocall alongside his wife, Tomb Raider star Alicia Vikander.<\/p>\n

The couple posed for photographs in matching cream tones on Monday at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, where they are promoting their new film Hope.<\/p>\n

Fassbender wore a cream blazer with navy trousers, while Vikander wore a silk maxi dress.<\/p>\n

Directed by Na Hong-jin, Hope is a South Korean science-fiction thriller set in a village thrown into chaos as a local emergency escalates into a far more mysterious threat.<\/p>\n

Fassbender and Vikander were joined at the photocall by Na and their co-star Taylor Russell, who wore an all-black wraparound maxi dress with matching sunglasses.<\/p>\n

The film also stars Squid Game actor Hoyeon, who wore a cream knit co-ord with black leather boots to the photocall.<\/p>\n

Monday also saw Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones, The Apprentice actor Sebastian Stan and Sentimental Value’s Renate Reinsve arrive on the red carpet for the premiere of Fjord.<\/p>\n

Directed by Cristian Mungiu, Fjord follows a Romanian-Norwegian couple, played by Stan and Reinsve, who face scrutiny after moving to the wife\u2019s remote Norwegian village.<\/p>\n

Stan wore a classic black tuxedo, while Reinsve wore a white high-neck gown with a plunging cutout.<\/p>\n

Edgar-Jones also walked the red carpet in a semi-sheer blush draped gown.<\/p>\n

Other stars in attendance on Monday evening included Basic Instinct actress Sharon Stone, who wore a black, white and purple embroidered floral gown with a matching coat and a sleeked-back short bob.<\/p>\n

Singer, model and former first lady of France Carla Bruni also posed for photographers in a long-sleeved plunging dress.<\/p>\n
