The first glimpse of the brand new Big Brother house has been unveiled – and it is every bit as bold and eccentric<\/a> as fans might expect.<\/p>\n

ITV<\/a> has released a series of images ahead of the hit reality show\u2019s return this Sunday, marking 25 years since the format first arrived on British screens.<\/p>\n

While the housemates are always at the heart of the drama, the house itself has become just as much of an icon over the decades.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s design promises to test the endurance of the contestants as much as the challenges themselves.<\/p>\n

The new images reveal an explosion of colour across every room, creating a vibrant, almost chaotic backdrop for the weeks of confinement to come.<\/p>\n

One corridor is decorated with clashing orange and green stripes, leading into a living room that features purple carpets, blue and pink sofas and enormous neon lighting overhead.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, a communal space is fitted with neon yellow flooring, striped blue chairs and vivid green doors, while the set design overall embraces the full spectrum of the rainbow and beyond.<\/p>\n

At the centre of it all is the legendary Big Brother eye<\/a>, reimagined once again with a swirling iris and a sclera filled with intricate cogs and pipes – a fitting emblem for the show\u2019s long-running legacy.<\/p>\n

On Friday,\u00a0AJ Odudu<\/a> promised Big Brother fans a series of ‘twists and turns’ as the ITV show returns for its anniversary series this weekend.<\/p>\n

The TV host, 37, who oversees the action on the reality format alongside Will Best, 40, took to Lorraine on Friday morning to tease what could be to come.<\/p>\n

Chatting to host Christine Lampard, AJ suggested that fans of the show could be in for a shock as they were attempting ‘never before’ seen elements.<\/p>\n

AJ said: ‘Twists and turns galore, and I can say that you’ve got to be glued to the entire series of course, but the launch show, we’re going to do something that’s never been done before on the show. ‘I can’t wait! It’s going to be so iconic.’<\/p>\n

The new series marks the 25th anniversary of the series, which first started 2000 on Channel 4 with Davina McCall as host, before it moved to Channel 5 in 2011 and ITV in 2022.<\/p>\n

It means the show will run for a longer seven-week period this series, which will mean more time for the secret plans that show bosses have in store.<\/p>\n

AJ added: ‘Big Brother is going to be very mischievous this year, and I’m excited.’<\/p>\n

It comes after AJ and co-host Will hit back at concerns from fans that Big Brother was turning into another ITV stalwart – Love Island – after the reality favourite saw the blossoming of a few unlikely romances.<\/p>\n

Big Brother in 2023 saw winner Jordan Sangha go onto date housemate Henry Southan<\/a>, while last year Nathan King and Rosie Williams enjoyed a whirlwind romance.<\/p>\n

And earlier this year, in a twist no fan could have predicted, Love Island star Chris Hughes and Dance Moms’ JoJo Siwa fell in love<\/a> on the celebrity version, and they’ve been documenting their relationship on social media ever since.<\/p>\n

The duo told the Daily Mail that the house is built for its inhabitants to find common ground, and in some cases, this can naturally lead to a closer connection than they expected.<\/p>\n

Referencing Chris and JoJo’s romance, Will said: ‘That is so unplanned, and because ITV have a very successful, very well-known show playing, around people in a house dating, and I don’t think they are in any, they’re not desperate to have a love story.<\/p>\n

‘That’s not really it. Honestly, they’ve come out nowhere. Some of them have really come of nowhere, and I was even thought that they were gonna go nowhere. And it turns out they have gone somewhere.’<\/p>\n

Noting how Chris and JoJo recently attended a pal’s wedding together, he added: ‘They’ll be going to their own flipping wedding in a minute, I wouldn’t be surprised.’<\/p>\n

AJ added: ‘I don’t know what it is so far, I just think, I guess the world is in a place where a lot of people are focusing on everyone’s differences.<\/p>\n

‘I think the Big Brother house is also a space for people to focus on their similarities and through seeing each other’s similarities, and what they’ve got in common, they’ve just gone ”do you know what? I actually love you!”<\/p>\n

‘I think it’s always incredibly well cast, right? People are put together because they know that that combination of people is going to create something,’ Will said.<\/p>\n

‘You don’t know what it is, but when you put people that have been carefully chosen into such an extreme environment, there’s going to be extreme reactions.<\/p>\n

‘I guess it makes sense that every now and again, that reaction is romantic.’<\/p>\n
