Ugreen has announced a new Apple Find My-compatible tracker with a novel design that limits where you can hide it, but greatly benefits battery life. Inspired by \u201cmajor football tournaments\u201d the company doesn\u2019t call out by name, the Ugreen FineTrack 2 is shaped like a soccer ball and is designed to be used hanging off your keys or bags. It\u2019s much larger than an Apple AirTag or credit card-sized trackers, but still small enough to bury in a suitcase or stick in your car\u2019s glove compartment.<\/p>\n
The waterproof FineTrack 2 is available now for $19.99<\/a> and comes with a 600mAh CR2450 battery good for around five to seven years of use with Apple\u2019s Find My network. Ugreen\u2019s trackers often come with excellent battery life. It updated its 1.7mm thick credit card tracker with support for Google\u2019s Find Hub network<\/a> and five years of battery life last September, but once it dies, it becomes e-waste. It\u2019s the same story for the FineTrack 2. It\u2019s not rechargeable and its battery isn\u2019t replaceable. An AirTag\u2019s battery might only last for around a year, but you can easily swap in a new one as often as you need.<\/p>\n Alongside the FineTrack 2 Ugreen also announced its new FineTrack Mini 2. Its functionality and battery life are identical to the ball-shaped version including five to seven years of (non-replaceable) battery life, waterproofing, and a loud 110dB alarm. But it features a smaller, lighter, and more traditional tracker design that\u2019s more discreet and easier to stash away.
