Galway GAA star Sean Fitzgerald has left the Tribe county panel and flown out to Spain for a possible appearance on popular TV show Love Island.<\/p>\n

The Bearna defender played in the 2024 All-Ireland final against Armagh and won an All-Ireland under-20 title in 2020. He played in the Connacht semi-final this season for Padraic Joyce’s men but did not feature in the provincial decider where Galway lost to Roscommon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old shot to wider fame after his application for Love Island came to light recently<\/a>, and ahead of Galway’s All-Ireland SFC clash with Kildare on Saturday, it;s believed Fitzgerald has now left the county squad.<\/p>\n

ITV has confirmed that Love Island will return next month, with the launch show set to take place on Monday, June 1st. The show is set in a rural luxury villa located near the town of Sant Lloren\u00e7 des Cardassar, on Majorca’s east coast.<\/p>\n

Fitzgerald has 94,100 Tiktok followers and 25,400 Instagram followers. The primary school teacher has gained 4.4 million likes and 94.4k followers since he started posting in early 2020.<\/p>\n

He is signed with the Marvel influencer\/talent agency, who say he \u2018isn\u2019t afraid to give his opinion on topical subjects in his humorous way on TikTok. His content is very much Gen Z in its approach. He loves travelling, music, sport, and fashion.\u2019<\/p>\n
