RTE star Sin\u00e9ad Kennedy has told of her excitement for her husband’s move back to Ireland.<\/p>\n

Sin\u00e9ad’s husband, Conor Kirwan, is a naval officer who works with the European Defence Agency in Brussels.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The couple has endured a long-distance relationship for many years, all while co-parenting their two children between Ireland and Belgium.<\/p>\n

Now Sin\u00e9ad has told EVOKE how her husband will eventually return to Ireland – and where they’ll be calling home.<\/p>\n

She said: ‘We make it work. My mother is a saint, like she’s why I’m here now [at the Style Awards]. You know what I mean? She does everything. She’s incredible.<\/p>\n

‘The long-term plan is that he’ll be moving back to Ireland. This is just a finite situation. It’s not forever. Cork is where it is at.’<\/p>\n

For now, the RTE Today<\/a> host will be taking the summer off to live in Belgium with Conor and ‘enjoy being a family of four’.<\/p>\n

‘I’m still on Today. I love it. It’s such a fun show. You go, you have fun, you do the show. I love it. That’s all I want,’ Sinead said.<\/p>\n

She added: ‘I’m taking the summer off and going to Belgium<\/a>. I cannot wait. I’m going over, and we’re just gonna sit there as a four. There’ll be no flying anywhere.<\/p>\n

‘We’re going to sit and chill and enjoy the back garden.’<\/p>\n

Sinead and Conor first met way back in 2005<\/a> when she was presenting a live link from the European Capital of Culture and Conor was a naval officer on the LE Emer in Cork.<\/p>\n

After eight years, they said I Do in Co Kerry, exchanging vows at St Michael\u2019s Church in Sneem before celebrating at their reception in Dromquinna Manor in Kenmare.<\/p>\n
