\n\tKylie Minogue<\/a> addressed an ongoing rumor that she will feature on Madonna<\/a>\u2018s new album, Confessions II. The Queen of Pop will release her 15th studio LP, a companion piece to 2005\u2019s Confessions\u00a0on\u00a0a\u00a0Dance Floor, on July 3 and fans have speculated that it will include a collaboration between the two singers. <\/p>\n

\n\tSpeaking to the Los Angeles Times<\/a> about her new Netflix documentary<\/a>,<\/a> Kylie<\/a>, Minogue said, \u201cThat\u2019s a random thing. There was a rumor I was on her album, but I\u2019m not \u2014 I\u2019m excited to hear it, all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMinogue did confirm, however, that she is making new music. \u201cThere\u2019s a new song called \u2018Light Up\u2019 that lives perfectly within the documentary,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s not a \u2018Padam,\u2019<\/a> but it\u2019s got a lot of heart.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tShe explained of the inspiration behind \u201cLight Up\u201d: \u201cInitially, I was thinking about my mom, \u2018cause you can see in this documentary \u2014 don\u2019t make me cry \u2014 I love her so much. I was writing about when you\u2019re struggling, whether you\u2019re a child or a grown-up, and someone who loves you will look into your eyes and, like a manga cartoon, you kind of zoom in and you see this world of possibility. When you\u2019re lost, helpless or glassy-eyed, someone who can see in you what you can\u2019t see can light you up, and you can get through that moment.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tShe added, \u201cYou can get out on stage and do that thing that you\u2019re supposed to do when everything feels like you couldn\u2019t do it, so it\u2019s like parental love, friendship love, can spread to audience love. Because they will give you the strength to go out and have those moments to share. It\u2019s a beautiful thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2024, Minogue and Madonna appeared on stage together<\/a> at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles during Madonna\u2019s Celebration. They performed duets of Minogue\u2019s \u201cCan\u2019t Get You Out of My Head\u201d and Gloria Gaynor\u2019s \u201cI Will Survive\u201d for International Women\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n
