Cristiano Ronaldo inspired Al Nassr to their 11th Saudi Pro League title, and his first, in stunning fashion.<\/p>\n

The Riyadh-based club clinched their first title in seven years with a 4-1 home win over Damac on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Jorge Jesus’ side had been forced to wait until the final day to get their hands on the trophy after they were held by Al Hilal<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n

However, their triumph was never in doubt during an emphatic performance against their now relegated opponents.<\/p>\n

Al Nassr crowned champions<\/p>\n

Goals from Sadio Mane<\/a> and Kingsley Coman<\/a> had put the home side in control at Al Awwal Park.<\/p>\n

Morlaye Sylla had threatened to ruin the party, though, as he pulled one back for Damac from the penalty spot.<\/p>\n

Those fears did not last long, however, as Ronaldo<\/a> re-established his side’s two-goal lead with a perfectly placed free-kick.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old picked out the bottom corner with a low driven effort from the left to score his 27th league goal of the season.<\/p>\n

It marked the first time he had scored a direct free-kick since August 2024.<\/p>\n

Ronaldo was not done there as he grabbed his second and Al Nassr’s fourth with ten minutes remaining by smashing home from close range.<\/p>\n

His 28 league goals this term were not enough to win the Golden Boot for a third successive season, though.<\/p>\n

Instead, Ronaldo finished five goals behind Al Qadsiah forward Julian Quinones.<\/p>\n

After finishing as top scorer in the past two seasons, he had been aiming to become the first European player to achieve the feat in three consecutive campaigns.<\/p>\n

Moments after scoring his second, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner received a standing ovation as he was withdrawn alongside Mane.<\/p>\n

Any personal disappointment will have been overshadowed by winning eighth league title of his career.<\/p>\n

The Portuguese forward had been visibly emotional after scoring his second and Al Nassr’s fourth as he broke down in tears on the pitch.<\/p>\n

Having contained himself, Ronaldo was seen embracing with the Al Nassr coaching staff on the touchline after being substituted.<\/p>\n

The title win marks his first Saudi Pro League triumph since joining the club in January 2023.<\/p>\n

Following back-to-back second place finishes, Al Nassr finished third in the table last season.<\/p>\n

However, they have rallied under Jesus this season to win their first title since 2019.<\/p>\n

Their win over Damac, who will play a division below next season, saw Al Nassr finish two points clear of nearest challengers Al Hilal.<\/p>\n
