Production of\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel Live!\u00a0was suspended from September 17 to September 22 last year by ABC (American Broadcasting Company).<\/p>\n
The suspension came following criticism from conservatives and public pressure from the Trump administration, over Kimmel\u2019s monologue commentary about President Trump and his supporters\u2019 reaction to the assassination of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder,\u00a0Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n
While Colbert has refrained from directly criticising Trump and the Ellisons, his guests have done the talking for him in the final weeks of the show.<\/p>\n
His predecessor, David Letterman, threw furniture off the roof of the Ed Sullivan Theatre onto the CBS logo.<\/p>\n
\u2018You can take a man\u2019s show,\u2019 said Letterman, \u2018You can\u2019t take a man\u2019s voice\u2019.<\/p>\n
Robert DeNiro\u00a0swapped seats with Colbert for the \u2018Colbert Questionert\u2019 segment of the show.<\/p>\n
When asked what number he was thinking of, Colbert replied, \u2018three\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u2018Okay\u2019, said DeNiro. \u2018Because I thought it would have been two million point five, or two and a half million. That\u2019s the number of Epstein Files Trump still hasn\u2019t released\u2019.<\/p>\n
