Jeremy Clarkson has issued an update on his health after suffering a heart scare last year. <\/p>\n

The former Top Gear and Grand Tour presenter was hospitalised last October<\/a>, having to undergo heart surgery with him describing his pain as \u2018Defcon 1 painful.\u2019<\/p>\n

After quipping that doctors had to \u2018chisel me off the ceiling with a spatula afterwards,\u2019 Jeremy<\/a> \u2014 who had submitted a column criticising the NHS just as he suffered the pain which brought him to an NHS-run hospital that treated him \u2014 has since given an update on his health.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m well thank you very much,\u2019 Jeremy said on Heart Radio. \u2018Yes, it was quite a fraught year last year but no I\u2019m absolutely fine now. Tickety-boo!\u2019<\/p>\n

Jeremy, who also runs the Diddly Squat farm, and films the farming antics on Clarkson\u2019s Farm, admitted that running a farm was a lot harder than he had first realised.<\/p>\n

\u2018I thought farming when I first started, what seven years ago, you just drive around in a Range Rover, went to the pub occasionally and moaned about the weather and then in February went skiing,\u2019 Jeremy said.<\/p>\n

\u2018And I thought \u201cwell that\u2019s easy, I could do that.\u201d And then I started doing it and it is unbelievably difficult. And I\u2019m lucky because I\u2019ve often got a film crew here, so there\u2019s a lot of people.<\/p>\n

\u2018But when there isn\u2019t a film crew here you start to realise \u201cGod, I\u2019m all on my own all day.\u201d Literally all days, six in the morning until midnight. And then you think \u201coh god, there\u2019s no money coming in.\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n

With Clarkson\u2019s Farm set to premiere its third season later this year, Jeremy admitted that while they\u2019re not doing PR for the upcoming season, he teased that one of the episodes will be very dramatic.<\/p>\n

\u2018It is the most dramatic one of the shows we have done so far. And it gets more and more dramatic towards the end,\u2019 he teased. \u2018I\u2019ll say no more than that because we\u2019re not actually doing any PR for this series at all.\u2019<\/p>\n

While Jeremy said just before the health scare that he had been using private healthcare for years, he had grown fed up with how frequently insurers attempted to dodge paying for different treatments.<\/p>\n

However, as he was two hours away from the nearest private hospital, he ended up needing to go to an NHS hospital \u2014 just hours after submitting a column that slated the NHS.<\/p>\n

\u2018I had a very hot neck when I realised this and wondered if I should maybe tiptoe into the hospital in a\u00a0Piers Morgan\u00a0face mask,\u2019 he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u00a0genuinely couldn\u2019t find anything to moan about at all. The doctors, the nurses and everyone I met were kind. It was all spotless.<\/p>\n
