{"id":462037,"date":"2026-05-22T16:58:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T16:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/462037\/"},"modified":"2026-05-22T16:58:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T16:58:10","slug":"liverpool-transfer-news-fsg-reach-agreement-to-sign-attacking-midfielder-as-fabrizio-romano-says-here-we-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/462037\/","title":{"rendered":"Liverpool transfer news: FSG \u2018reach agreement\u2019 to sign attacking midfielder as Fabrizio Romano says \u2018here we go\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Liverpool will bring Samuel Mart\u00ednez to Anfield when he turns 18 after agreeing a deal with his club Atl\u00e9tico Nacional, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.<\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/liverpool\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Liverpool\u2019s<\/a> immediate priority in the summer transfer window is to sign a right-winger to replace the outgoing Mohamed Salah, the club\u2019s owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), are also keen on snapping up top talents for the future, too.<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool signed central defender Giovanni Leoni from Parma last summer, while another centre-back, Jeremy Jacquet, will make the switch from Rennes in the summer of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>It has now emerged that Liverpool have already secured a deal for Samuel Mart\u00ednez, an attacking midfielder who is on the books of Atletico Nacional at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>Mart\u00ednez is just 17 years of age and won the Under-17 South American Championship with Colombia in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Samuel Mart\u00ednez will join Liverpool in 2027<\/p>\n<p>According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Colombian gem will move to Liverpool when he turns 18.<\/p>\n<p>Romano wrote on <a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FabrizioRomano\/status\/2057821839804481932\" target=\"_blank\">X<\/a> at 2:52pm on May 22: \u201cLiverpool agree deal to sign Samuel Mart\u00ednez from Atletico Nacional, here we go!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeal in place for 17 year old Colombian talent to join in 2027, as soon as he turns 18. #LFC anticipate Borussia Dortmund, as @PSierraR revealed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAgreement closed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reliable journalist Pipe Sierra has also revealed that an agreement has been reached between Liverpool and Atletico Nacional over Martinez.<\/p>\n<p>Sierra wrote on X at 1:56pm on May 22: \u201cExclusive: Samuel Mart\u00ednez (17) is just a few details away from becoming a new #Liverpool player.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey reached an agreement for him to become the new talent of the \u2018reds\u2019 for 1M$ and sign for 5 years. They are advancing in the final documentation after outbidding other European giants<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Colombian will stay at #Atl\u00e9ticoNacional until he reaches the age of majority.
