A US software company has announced a major expansion at its new office in Cork.<\/a> Empyrean Solutions, which specialises in banking industry software, is planning to create tens of new jobs<\/a> in the coming year.<\/p>\n

The financial tech company has a new office space at The Half Moon Building on Lavitt’s Quay and is expecting major growth as it launches a new Research and Development project, focused on “next-generation” AI and Machine Learning.<\/p>\n

Empyrean launched in Ireland in 2018, and Ireland has been a core R&D hub.<\/p>\n

The company, which works with banks and credit unions, plans to grow its staff headcount by 40 over the next few months, with jobs in financial planning, credit loss estimation, loan behaviour analysis, and finance persona-based insights.<\/p>\n

Paul Leahy, Managing Director of Empyrean Ireland, said: \u201cEmpyrean is thrilled to embark on this R&D initiative with IDA Ireland. This project represents a significant step in our mission to empower the dynamic CFO.<\/p>\n
