It was assembled from 48 square panels, each reimagined by a different member of the Collective of Westport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The artists were not told the identity of the original artwork. Each received a printout of a section, one foot squared, and a blank panel to interpret it, using whatever material they chose.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe result is a vibrant and often surprising mosaic of styles, perspectives, and artistic voices \u2014 a playful yet powerful celebration of community, creativity, and collaboration,\u201d said a release from the Collective.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is mounted in the Trefz Forum, left of the stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collection of works, \u201cAmerican Journeys,\u201d was inspired by this year\u2019s America 250 celebration of the nation\u2019s semiquincentennial.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe title reflects the idea that there is no single American journey, but rather a tapestry of countless personal paths, experiences, struggles, and triumphs that together define the American story,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 60 members of the Collective contributed work to the exhibition, offering diverse artistic expressions and interpretations.
