<\/p>\nIreland is finally about to get a proper taste of summer – and some counties could soon be basking in the hottest conditions of the year so far<\/p>\n

Met Eireann has revealed the counties set to sizzle in scorching 21C heat today, with the mercury set to soar even higher over the coming days.<\/p>\n
Saturday marks the start of a dry and sunny spell which will see the country bask in clear blue skies and sizzling temperatures.<\/p>\n
The thermometer is set to climb to 21C on Saturday, with conditions set to improve even further on Sunday and Monday, with temperatures of 25C forecast.<\/p>\n
Not every county will see wall to wall sunshine, Met Eireann<\/a> has revealed that 12 counties are set to enjoy the best of the glorious summer weather<\/a>.<\/p>\n Issuing their forecast for Saturday, Met Eireann said: “Dry with spells of hazy sunshine for most, but cloudier conditions will persist in the west and northwest. Highest temperatures generally of 17C to 21C, warmest in Leinster, but a little cooler near western and southern coasts with light to moderate south to southwest breezes.<\/p>\n People enjoy the warm weather in St Stephen’s Green in Dublin(Image: Getty Images)<\/p>\n That means those in Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Offaly, Longford, Louth, Meath, Laoighis, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow will be feeling the heat today, with the 12 counties set to soak up the best of the sunshine.<\/p>\n The national forecaster has said that tonight, while most areas will remain dry with clear periods, cloud will continue to increase over northwest areas with the odd spot of light rain or drizzle.<\/p>\n “Mist and fog patches will form towards morning in the south too in light or variable southerly breezes, with lowest temperatures of 7C to 12C.<\/p>\n Temperatures are set to continue to trend upwards with warm or very warm conditions forecast over the coming days, with high pressure set to bring mostly dry and settled weather too.<\/p>\n According to Met Eireann, Sunday will bring a warm day with spells of sunshine, although the national forecaster warned that cloudier skies with patchy drizzle will affect the northwest and north at first, and a few sea fog patches may drift onto the south and east coast.<\/p>\n Met Eireann said we can expect highest temperatures of 17C to 23C, in just light southerly or variable breezes.<\/p>\n![\"People](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/2_GettyImages-2173158130.jpg\")
