\n\t\u201cFinally, a Show About Men!,\u201d an Australian short-form animated sketch comedy satirizing modern masculinity, premieres Sunday on Aunty Donna\u2019s Grouse House YouTube channel from Gold Coast\u2019s Sad Man Studio.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe series is produced by husbands Samuel Leighton-Dore, who also serves as writer, and Bradley Tennant, with backing from Screen Queensland\u2019s Online Production Grants. The pair co-direct the studio.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cWith \u2018Finally, a Show About Men!,\u2019 we wanted to create something emotionally honest, globally recognizable, and genuinely funny while exploring masculinity as both deeply human and slightly absurd,\u201d Leighton-Dore said. \u201cThe series comes from a fascination with the contradictions of modern manhood \u2013 how performative, vulnerable, lonely, and theatrical it can be all at once. Animation gave us a way to approach those ideas through satire, surrealism, and heightened worlds that still feel emotionally truthful.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tThe debut episode, \u201cA Scrum Is A Safe Space,\u201d is rugby-themed. Leighton-Dore and Tennant previously produced animated short film \u201cSensitive Gym Bros\u201d and co-created animated sitcom \u201cWilly,\u201d now in development at Ludo Studio \u2013 the production company behind \u201cBluey\u201d \u2013 and slated for a graphic novel release through Penguin Random House.<\/p>\n
