The festival is being held this weekend at the Herrington Country Park in Sunderland<\/a>, and on Saturday (May 23), Goulding played on the Main Stage.<\/p>\n

During her set, which was comprised of classic hits from throughout her career, she debuted her new track \u2018Black Prada Dress\u2019<\/a>\u2013 which she first began teasing back in January \u2013 and gave a heartfelt shoutout to her son, Arthur, who was watching her perform for the first time.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, she played a cover of Bieber\u2019s \u2018SWAG<\/a>\u2018 track, \u2018Daisies\u2019, reimagining it as an indie-pop anthem. Watch below.<\/p>\n

Goulding\u00a0has not released a studio album since her fifth LP \u2018Higher Than Heaven<\/a>\u2019 in 2023, although she did release the singles \u2018Save My Love\u2019 with\u00a0Marshmello<\/a>\u00a0and \u2018Destiny<\/a>\u2019 last year.<\/p>\n

Goulding spoke to\u00a0NME\u00a0last year about her upcoming music<\/a>. \u201cBack before I signed a record deal, I was just writing songs, letting them come out naturally and not thinking too much,\u201d she said. \u201cTo be honest though, I still really have nothing to lose because I\u2019m always doing projects that indulge me, like classical music, electronic, and dance, plus I still get to write pop songs that are really appealing to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is probably the most honest I\u2019ve been in my lyrics. I don\u2019t have anyone to answer to. In certain situations, you\u2019re trying to please someone, but for the first time ever, I don\u2019t feel like I have to do that. I\u2019m just making music that I love.\u201d<\/p>\n

NME\u00a0gave \u2018Higher Than Heaven\u2019 four stars back in 2023<\/a>, noting\u00a0that it \u201cmay not be strictly personal, but it definitely sounds like an album crafted with care, skill and no small amount of flair\u201d.<\/p>\n

Goulding celebrated being honoured with an MBE at the start of the year<\/a>\u00a0by sharing praise for the women working on climate protection, and she is\u00a0also scheduled to appear on the current season of\u00a0Later\u2026with Jools Holland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Other names on the bill at Radio 1\u2019s Big Weekend this year include\u00a0Olivia Dean<\/a>,\u00a0Lola Young<\/a>,\u00a0Fatboy Slim<\/a>,\u00a0Louis Tomlinson<\/a>,\u00a0Zara Larsson<\/a>,\u00a0Niall Horan<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0CMAT<\/a>.<\/p>\n
