Tommy Fleming has said he has had ‘a week from hell’ after he was forced to postpone two concerts over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The singer brought his concert series – An Intimate Evening of Songs & Stories – to Friars\u2019 Gate Theatre in Kilmallock in Limerick on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

But after two songs, the vocalist was forced to cancel his concert, saying he was battling the flu.<\/a><\/p>\n

He told the disappointed audience: ‘Oh god this has been a week from hell.’<\/p>\n

He started with one of his best known songs – The Contender but after the song, he said: ‘Fair warning. I will try and do the show. <\/p>\n

‘It sounds awful so far. I could be calling it at any time. I\u2019m sweating as well. It\u2019s great to be here even though I\u2019m only half here. We\u2019ll try this next one.’<\/p>\n

However, Tommy couldn\u2019t continue, emotionally telling the audience: ‘I sound like I have the plague. We will reschedule the show. God I can’t believe this is happening. I tried it.<\/p>\n

‘Thank you so much for turning up, for being here. Oh God this has been a week from hell but thank you. We will hopefully reschedule – I can’t even talk now – for two or three weeks’ time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘We will do a second show in the middle of that week for anyone who wants to go to that show and donate that show to a charity in the local area,’ he said, before adding: ‘I should have called it this morning but I thought I could do it. <\/p>\n

‘I\u2019m not a machine. Sometimes I just need to lie down,’ he added.<\/p>\n

One of his fans in the sold-out theatre shouted, ‘Don’t worry about it – \u2018tis grand’, while another audience member said: ‘It\u2019s great to have you, Tommy.’<\/p>\n

It comes just hours before his ex-wife Tina Mitchell<\/a> told the Sunday Independent that she was ‘completely broken’ when their marriage ended after more than 20 years together.<\/p>\n

Tina said: ‘\u00a0‘I\u2019ve lost two stone. I have lost my con\u00adfid\u00adence and I have lost my mind. I can\u00adnot face any\u00adbody. I don\u2019t think I\u2019d be here today if it wasn\u2019t for my fam\u00adily and friends.<\/p>\n

‘I feel com\u00adpletely broken.<\/p>\n

‘He shouldn\u2019t have stolen 24 years of my life. I regret ever meet\u00ading him. I regret the 24 years that I\u2019ve wasted. I could have been in a com\u00adpletely dif\u00adfer\u00adent situ\u00adation in my life.<\/p>\n

‘I regret all of the decisions I\u2019ve made, all of them that have a huge impact for the rest of my days on all of us. I regret putting my best years into excelling his career.
