EastEnders<\/a>‘ Toby-Alexander Smith has teamed up with the iconic Dame Joan Collins for a “stylish and fun” whodunit. A Murder Between Friends sees six old pals become embroiled in a deadly mystery, while staying at the grand country estate of a true-crime TV star. <\/p>\n

“After the first night of fun, drinking, dancing and dalliances, one of them is found murdered in the strangest of circumstances. With suspicion mounting and tensions rising, the group must determine who has the means, motive and opportunity to murder,” reads the synopsis.<\/p>\n

“Turning to their celebrity hostess for help, they must race against time to uncover the truth, before the killer strikes again.”<\/p>\n

Described as a “a playful, suspense-filled mystery thriller”, the movie boasts “tasty twists” that will “keep audiences guessing until the very last reveal”.<\/p>\n

As well as leading the cast as “sassy showbiz sleuth” Francesca Carlyle, Dame Joan also co-produced the project alongside Percy Gibson and writer Mark Rozzano.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Smith stars opposite Emmerdale<\/a>‘s Simon Cotton, Nadia Bjorlin, Jacob Young, Trent Garrett, India Thain, Hana Vagnerov\u00e1, Jim Borstelmann and Espen Hatleskog, with Young and Garrett co-directing. <\/p>\n

A Murder Between Friends will have its UK premiere in London on 2 June, before being released on various digital platforms, including Prime Video, Apple TV, Sky Store and Virgin Movies, on 15 June.

Meanwhile, Smith<\/a> is reportedly gearing up to make a shocking return to EastEnders, following his departure in 2022. The actor played villain Gray Atkins, a charming but sinister solicitor who abused and killed his wife Chantelle, before murdering other Walford residents. <\/p>\n

After a three-year reign of terror, the character was finally exposed for his crimes and taken to prison, and has rarely been mentioned since. However, recent reports have claimed Gray will be back for a short stint which will have major consequences for the Square. <\/p>\n

A Murder Between Friends will be available to watch on 15 June on digital platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV, Sky Store, and Virgin Movies. <\/p>\n
