The club asked him to remain on, and he has agreed to do so.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">His decision comes at an important time for Aghabullogue, who are still settling into life at senior level after last year\u2019s McCarthy Insurance Group PIFC success.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">That breakthrough title pushed them into the senior football ranks for the first time, and their progress has continued as they stay firmly in the hunt for promotion in the Division 3 League.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">They did lose last Sunday to Naomh Ab\u00e1n by three points in Coachford, which was a blow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Keane\u2019s influence since arriving has been well received within the group. His coaching record speaks for itself: three All-Ireland minor titles with Kerry between 2016 and 2018, followed by taking the Kingdom seniors to the 2019 All-Ireland final, where they brought Dublin to a replay.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">He managed Clare during the 2025 season.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/5094432_7_articleinlinemobile_EOHUibh21.jpg\" alt=\" Aghabullogue won the McCarthy Insurance Group PIFC last year. Picture: Eddie O&#8217;Hare<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Aghabullogue will compete in a McCarthy Insurance Group SAFC group containing Dohenys, B\u00e9al \u00c1tha\u2019n Ghaorthaidh and Kanturk \u2014 a tough section that will test their depth and adaptability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Keeping someone of Keane\u2019s calibre in the fold strengthens their hand as they look to get promoted in the league and prepare for a tough championship campaign.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Peter Keane will continue in his role with the Aghabullogue footballers for the remainder of the season.
