Tourists saw him alone and raised the alarm, Save the Elephants, a research and conservation organisation in Kenya which works to secure a future for wild African elephants, said.<\/p>\n<p>The young elephant was caught and transported to where his family were grazing in Buffalo Springs, on the other side of the river, the charity added.<\/p>\n<p>Save the Elephants said their researcher Davido Letitiya, who has known the herd for years, noticed a calf was missing and put two and two together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA coat of fresh dung helped the family recognise their little one after more than three hours apart&#8230; [they] were cautious at first, then welcomed him home.
