Fields Good<\/a> thankfully falls into the first category.<\/p>\n

The new functional cookie brand, created by Ashley Fields\u2014daughter of Mrs. Fields founder Debbi Fields\u2014alongside co-founder Kim Anderson, officially launched this week with three soft-baked cookies designed around focus, sleep, and protein<\/a> support. But unlike many wellness snacks currently flooding grocery stores and TikTok Shop, these genuinely prioritize flavor first and foremost.<\/p>\n

The lineup includes a mocha chocolate Focus Cookie made with creatine and Cognizin citicoline, a Protein Cookie packed with 10 grams of protein and four grams of fiber, and a Sleep Cookie formulated with L-theanine to support relaxation. The brand describes the concept as combining nostalgic comfort with functional ingredients designed for how people want to feel day-to-day.<\/p>\n

The idea sounds great in theory. But usually when brands start throwing words like \u201cfunctional\u201d and \u201cwellness\u201d around, texture becomes the immediate casualty. That\u2019s not the case here.<\/p>\n

The Focus Cookie was probably the standout among our team. It\u2019s deeply chocolaty, soft, moist, and genuinely tastes like an indulgent bakery cookie instead of something pretending to be one. The espresso flavor deepens the chocolate’s richness rather than making the cookie taste aggressively like coffee.<\/p>\n

The Protein Cookie had a strong peanut butter flavor and avoided the overly artificial aftertaste that usually ruins high-protein snacks. While slightly denser than the others, it still felt far closer to an actual bakery cookie than the chalky protein bars people have collectively forced themselves to tolerate for years.<\/p>\n

But the Sleep Cookie may have been the most shocking.<\/p>\n

The oatmeal raisin flavor itself was genuinely delicious\u2014warm, cozy, and very nostalgic\u2014but the relaxing ingredients also seemed to work almost alarmingly well.<\/p>\n

I ate the cookie about an hour before bed and genuinely struggled to finish an episode of television without falling asleep halfway through.<\/p>\n

Delish\u2019s Digital Director Katelyn Lunders<\/a> had a similar experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe flavor and texture didn\u2019t feel like the other dry, artificial \u2018healthy\u2019 cookies you might have tried before,\u201d she says. \u201cThey tasted like a really good soft-baked cookie that just so happened to be good for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that the Sleep Cookie \u201cworked almost too well,\u201d explaining that she had to abruptly end a text conversation because it kicked in so quickly.<\/p>\n

The larger reason Fields Good feels notable right now is that it taps directly into where wellness food culture is heading overall. People increasingly want products that offer some functional benefit, but they\u2019re less willing to sacrifice taste to get it.<\/p>\n
