On Wednesday, the rom-com queen confirmed to Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> that she is single. <\/p>\n

\u201cI should have done it sooner!\u201d Lopez said, causing the studio audience to erupt with applause, laughter and a few gasps.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been doing it all wrong,\u201d Lopez continued with a laugh. \u201cI\u2019ve been doing it all wrong, trust me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The remarks feel especially spicy considering they were made just two years after her divorce from Ben Affleck<\/a>. The former couple, dubbed \u201cBennifer,\u201d became a tabloid obsession in the early 2000s when they first began to date after meeting on the set of the box office dud, \u201cGigli.\u201d They eventually called off their engagement in 2003, citing \u201cthe excessive media attention\u201d they were receiving. <\/p>\n

Two decades later, the \u201cOut of Sight\u201d star would describe canceling their nuptials as the \u201cbiggest heartbreak\u201d<\/a> of her life.<\/p>\n

In 2021, they rekindled their romance and tied the knot in 2022<\/a> before splitting for good in 2024.<\/p>\n

Aside from her romance with Affleck, the \u201cMaid in Manhattan\u201d star is known for being a serial monogamist who is rarely single and has dated \u2014 and married \u2014 quite a few men<\/a>. So much so, that she could be considered the Elizabeth Taylor of her generation.<\/p>\n

But, at least during her appearance on Kimmel, Lopez seemed pretty content with being in a relationship with just herself.<\/p>\n

When Kimmel asked if she\u2019d consider being the next \u201cBachelorette,\u201d she emphatically said, \u201cNo!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you crazy?\u201d Lopez said. \u201cI\u2019m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now. It\u2019s fantastic. I love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Kimmel mentioned it might be difficult for her to meet someone considering her fame, Lopez waved it off.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll meet somebody somewhere one day, if they\u2019re good enough, I don\u2019t know,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
