There’s nothing quite like indulging in a generous helping of fish and chips, but occasionally the cost of this beloved meal can leave diners gobsmacked<\/a>. One woman left viewers floored when she shared what she paid for her meal in Tenerife<\/a>, and people were swift to weigh in on the foodie <\/a>revelation.<\/p>\n

Caitlin, who goes by CaitlinCampb on TikTok<\/a>, had previously documented her experience online, and viewers were left stunned by what unfolded in her video. It’s a dish countless holidaymakers treat themselves to while abroad, with many confessing it’s a firm favourite, but it was the cost of this particular meal that caught some off guard.<\/p>\n

It’s not the first occasion a chippy tea has made waves recently, either. Just months ago, an update was shared about highly ranked chippers in Ireland.<\/a><\/p>\n

In the footage, she explained she had visited The Shamrock Fish ‘n Chippy, a venue that also houses a bar offering live entertainment. Caitlin opted for a classic fish and chips during her visit, and the meal appeared rather appetising.<\/p>\n

She also displayed the receipt to viewers, and this is what captured their focus. The meal totalled \u20ac12.50 overall, with the cod priced at \u20ac8.50 and the chips at \u20ac4.00 for a regular portion.<\/p>\n

In the comments section, the pricing became the main talking point. They simply couldn’t fathom her bill.<\/p>\n

It remains unclear whether the prices are still the same; however, the spot continues to draw a steady stream of visitors in Tenerife. As for the fish and chips themselves, punters appeared more than satisfied with the quality.<\/p>\n
