Pictures<\/p>\n<p>James Gunn and Peter Safran\u2019s DC Universe expands next month with the arrival of \u201cSupergirl\u201d followed by HBO\u2019s \u201cLanterns\u201d in August and \u201cClayface\u201d in October.<\/p>\n<p>Both \u201cMan of Tomorrow\u201d and a second season of \u201cCreature Commandos\u201d is on the way, along with a \u201cMister Miracle\u201d animated series, but other projects beyond that remain up in the air for now with the coming Paramount-Warners merger likely to impact what will and won\u2019t go forward.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threads.com\/@jamesgunn\/replies\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Threads<\/a> to answer fan questions, Gunn was recently asked if we\u2019ll see General Zod, Doomsday, Doctor Fate, Black Adam, Ultraman, or Darkseid in his DCU.  Gunn responded: \u201cTwo of them in not too long.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of those two is very likely to be Darkseid making his DCU debut in \u201cMister Miracle\u201d.  The second one, however, has now sparked speculation.<\/p>\n<p>Some are pointing to quotes from Pierce Brosnan last year, the actor saying at the time: \u201cI\u2019ve heard that Doctor Fate was going to have his own show, or his own movie. I\u2019ve heard that he\u2019s going to be in the next Superman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That has led to Doctor Fate in \u201cMan of Tomorrow\u201d talk, but so far there\u2019s been no indication of that.  Andre Royo, Matthew Lillard, Sinqua Walls, and Adria Arjona recently joined the cast of \u201cMan of Tomorrow\u201d with the latter rumored to be Wonder Woman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Warner Bros.
