\n\tDori Berinstein directed the film which premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival before screening at DOC NYC and other festivals. A Man with Sole bows exclusively on Documentary+ this Thursday as a Documentary+ Original.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe acquisition marks one of the platform\u2019s most high-profile originals to date, bringing to subscribers an intimate portrait of Cole \u2014 the man behind a brand that has long stood at the intersection of fashion, politics, and philanthropy,\u201d notes a release. \u201cA Man with Sole explores Cole\u2019s rise from Brooklyn to global fashion prominence, his boundary-pushing advertising campaigns, and his decades-long commitment to social causes including HIV\/AIDS awareness and homelessness advocacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDocumentary+ says it will donate 20 percent of subscriptions driven by the film to the Mental Health Coalition, \u201cwhich is focused on helping destigmatize all mental health conditions and enable equitable access to vital resources and support for all.\u201d The streaming platform, recently acquired by acTVe<\/a>, notes the acquisition \u201ccontinues a deliberate programming strategy centered on filmmaker-driven stories about larger-than-life figures whose influence extends well beyond their primary field.\u201d<\/p>\n
