However, there was a sense that his chance to become the main man at test level had passed him by.<\/p>\n<p>He would join Gloucester last summer, although the move has proven to be a rather disastrous one. The 31-year old struggled to find his feet in faltering side in the first half of the season, since being dropped from the squad altogether.
