A monumental and trophy-winning season for Celtic that had it all. <\/p>\n

From managerial changes, fan protests, and more Celtic<\/a> statements than actual good performances, in the end, the cream rose to the top, once more!<\/p>\n

In truth, given how chaotic everything was, there simply isn\u2019t a straight answer, but the likes of Liam Scales<\/a>, Daizen Maeda, and Benjamin Nygren emerged on the positive side. <\/p>\n

But the now-retired Kasper Schmeichel<\/a> should look away now. <\/p>\n

Maeda did get a few shouts, perhaps not more than Scales, but the Japan star\u2019s situation is interesting. <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s be honest, Maeda drove Celtic to the title<\/a> by scoring in every post-split fixture match, including the crucial goal against Hearts.<\/p>\n

But for large parts of the season, he was poor, and there was still a hangover from him wanting to leave last summer. That\u2019s probably why nobody could put his name down definitively as the best player. <\/p>\n

One TalkingPoints user, Gegillies31, noted that Scales was his \u2018favourite\u2019 player, as well as Celtic\u2019s most \u2018consistent\u2019, with the Irishman also getting his flowers from the likes of Dhxw448m5f and StephenHardie1970.<\/p>\n

As for Schmeichel, he isn\u2019t in many fans\u2019 good books, as the likes of McGregor795 and Scorc3529 were quick to put his name forward as the worst player during Celtic\u2019s double-winning campaign<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Not the absolute best but the most improved.\u2019Martin.Crawford: \u2018Would absolutely agree that he\u2019s the most improved\u2026 I\u2019ll be honest, I\u2019d lost patience with him last season, but he excelled under O\u2019Neill.\u2019Dhxw448m5f: \u2018I don\u2019t think we should be so negative that we pinpoint who was our worst player in 2025\/26.
