\n\tART<\/a> RESCUE: Loro Piana<\/a>, a quiet luxury stalwart, is now patron of the arts.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Italian luxury label has linked with Rome\u2019s state art museum Galleria Borghese for a three-year collaboration whereby it will support the restoration of one painting each year.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe three large-size artworks to undergo a restoration are part of the triptych \u201cSpring, Autumn and Winter\u201d by Venetian Renaissance master Jacopo Bassano. They are part of the artist\u2019s renowned series \u201cThe Seasons\u201d depicting rural life and landscapes.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSpring\u201d is the first painting to be restored this year.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe are delighted to embark on this significant partnership with Galleria Borghese, an initiative that aligns perfectly with our deep commitment to Italian art<\/a> and culture,\u201d said Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Arnault, chief executive officer of Loro Piana<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tHoused within Rome\u2019s 17th-century Villa Borghese, Galleria Borghese is home to an outstanding art collection, featuring masterpieces by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Caravaggio, Raphael, Titian, and Antonio Canova, among others. As a state museum, it is under the oversight of the Ministry of Culture.<\/p>\n
