Mayo.<\/p>\n<p>With both sadness and appreciation for a life well lived, we announce the death of Jim Tunney (Retired Garda Sioch\u00e1na), Lisroyne, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon, and formerly of Curnageltha, Foxford, Co. Mayo \u2013 peacefully at the Mater Private, Dublin, following a lengthy illness borne with characteristic grace and courage.<\/p>\n<p>Devoted husband of Kathleen and loving father of Seamus, Mary, Brendan, Michael &amp; John.<\/p>\n<p>Adored Papa to his grandchildren Isobel, Mark &amp; S\u00edle; ElleAnna, John, Grace &amp; Theodore; Molly, M\u00e9abh &amp; James; Daniel, Finn, R\u00edan &amp; Darragh; Patrick, J.R., Isadora &amp; Louis.<\/p>\n<p>Jim will be sadly missed by his wife &amp; family, his sister Eileen, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Jim is predeceased by his parents Ellen &amp; Patrick, brothers Tom, John, Matt, Frank and his granddaughters R\u00edona &amp; R\u00e9iltin.<\/p>\n<p>May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace<\/p>\n<p>Reposing in McHugh\u2019s Funeral Home, Strokestown (F42 RK72) on Sunday, June 7th from 5pm until 7pm, followed by removal to The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Strokestown.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral Mass on Monday, June 8th at 11am.<\/p>\n<p>Burial afterwards in Aughavale Cemetery, Westport, Co.
