Friday night’s EuroMillions draw <\/a>produced a dramatic near miss for one Irish player, who came within touching distance of the staggering \u20ac160,606,603 jackpot.<\/p>\n While nobody managed to scoop the top prize, one lucky ticketholder in Ireland was just a single number away from becoming the country’s newest multi-millionaire.<\/p>\n The player matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win a massive consolation prize of \u20ac365,515. The winning combination was 5, 6, 16, 17, 49 and Lucky Stars 2 and 12.<\/p>\n National Lottery<\/a> bosses have issued an urgent appeal for players to check their numbers carefully. As part of that appeal, they have revealed details about how the golden ticket was purchased.<\/p>\n It has been confirmed that the EuroMillions \u20ac365,515 prize winner bought their ticket online.<\/p>\n There was another big Irish winner in the main draw, who scooped \u20ac21,357 after matching the five main numbers.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the EuroMillions Plus top prize of \u20ac500,000 also went unclaimed. However, 74 players still picked up \u20ac2,000 each after matching four numbers in the Plus draw.<\/p>\n There were more winners in the Ireland Only Raffle, with 10 players landing prizes of \u20ac5,000 each.<\/p>\n In total, more than 69,000 Irish players scored prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games. A National Lottery<\/a> spokesperson said: “There was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot. In total, over 69,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games, including one winner of the Match 5 + One lucky star receiving \u20ac365,515.
