Chris Hemsworth has revealed that a family trip was derailed before it even left the ground after he showed up at the airport with the wrong passport, and then attempted a last-ditch explanation that went about as well as you\u2019d expect.<\/p>\n
Speaking alongside his wife, Elsa Pataky, in a joint interview with Harper\u2019s Bazaar Arabia<\/a>, the actor recalled arriving for an international flight only to discover he had brought his daughter\u2019s passport instead of his son\u2019s.<\/p>\n Hemsworth, 42, and Pataky, 49, share three children: India Rose, 14, and 12-year-old twin boys, Sasha and Tristan.<\/p>\n Rather than accepting defeat, Hemsworth tried to convince airport staff that the passport belonged to the child traveling with him.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is her,\u201d Hemsworth remembered telling a security agent.<\/p>\n The response was immediate.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018That\u2019s a boy.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Hemsworth defended himself by noting that his children \u201ckind of look the same,\u201d prompting Pataky to deliver the sort of reality check only a spouse can.<\/p>\n \u201cThey don\u2019t,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Needless to say, the argument failed to sway airport officials, and the family was denied boarding.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, yeah, that didn\u2019t work,\u201d Hemsworth said.<\/p>\n The Marvel actor and Pataky, who was born in Spain, have built a life far from Hollywood\u2019s spotlight, raising their family in Byron Bay on Australia\u2019s east coast.<\/p>\n In a previous interview with E! News<\/a>, Hemsworth reflected on the dynamic between his twin sons, describing them as opposites whose contrasting personalities seem to balance one another.<\/p>\n \u201cTristan is so athletic but there\u2019s not an aggressive bone in his body. He\u2019s the most emotional one. Whereas Sasha is like a little gangster,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Despite their differences, Hemsworth said the brothers share a fierce protective bond. He recalled one memorable incident<\/a> from their preschool years, when Sasha stepped in after another child pushed Tristan at a park.<\/p>\n \u201cSasha\u2019s like, \u2018Tristan, what happened?\u2019 They\u2019re four, by the way. \u2018Another kid pushed me.\u2019 Sasha goes over to this older kid, taps him on the shoulder and says, \u2018Why\u2019d you push my brother?\u2019 I stood there thinking, \u2018I should step in, but this is awesome.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
