Legendary hurler, Patrick Horgan, has given his thoughts on Se\u00e1n Fitzgerald’s Love Island venture.<\/p>\n
While “Hoggie” is no longer part of the senior hurling set-up at Cork, the forward has remained at the centre of the GAA discourse with his transition into punditry.<\/p>\n
The Glen Rovers man has taken it all in his stride with regular appearances now on RTE’s live match coverage and The Sunday Game. <\/p>\n
Horgan has made the transition look natural for someone who was only playing in an All-Ireland final months prior to his inclusion in media.<\/p>\n
This has given him quite an advantage with his modern insight of the game leading to strong analysis.<\/p>\n
On his new role, Horgan said: “I wouldn’t have watched games before, I wouldn’t have watched hurling. Now I’m looking forward to watching it.<\/p>\n
“Saturday I’m looking forward to the Leinster final and Sunday obviously I’ll be glued to Cork and Limerick.”<\/p>\n
Se\u00e1n Fitzgerald Love Island<\/p>\n
Galway footballer, Se\u00e1n Fitzgerald, recently stepped away from the inter-county team to pursue a unique Love Island opportunity last month.<\/p>\n
And the 23-year-old footballer has already made a huge impression on the show, pairing up with fellow islander Lola during the first episode.<\/p>\n
Although having to deal with a wide variety of Irish stereotypes and impressions, Fitzgerald has seemingly adapted to the islands demands.<\/p>\n
Like the majority of the GAA community, Horgan has tuned in to see how “Fitzy” gets on.<\/p>\n
He said: “I’m watching it there. He was lucky last night he wasn’t back playing championship next week! There was a bit of a surprise.”<\/p>\n
