{"id":488229,"date":"2026-06-08T00:25:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T00:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/488229\/"},"modified":"2026-06-08T00:25:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T00:25:08","slug":"horgan-sees-cork-upsides-despite-munster-final-setback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/488229\/","title":{"rendered":"Horgan sees Cork upsides despite Munster final setback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Cork hurler Patrick Horgan feels Ben O&#8217;Connor&#8217;s side still have plenty to be positive about despite falling short in the Munster Hurling final at SuperValu P\u00e1irc U\u00ed Chaoimh.<\/p>\n<p>The Mick Mackey Cup and provincial bragging rights <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rte.ie\/sport\/hurling\/2026\/0607\/1577173-casey-the-hero-as-limerick-regain-munster-crown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">went to the victorious Limerick by the slimmest of margins<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>But Cork will still harbour dreams of lifting the Liam MacCarthy Cup and next up will be a quarter-final against Offaly in two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on The Sunday Game, Horgan still sees areas to be satisfied with even though the Munster title slipped from their grasp.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From a Cork point of view, it was good to see Dudzy back,&#8221; he said in reference to Diarmuid Healy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They&#8217;ll have their captain back for the All-Ireland series which is a major boost for them as well.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s a lot of things, yes, they could work on today.
