\n\tTaylor Swift<\/a> is sharing alternate versions of her new Toy Story 5 song, \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Sunday (June 7), the 36-year-old pop superstar made acoustic and piano versions of the track available for digital download.<\/p>\n

\n\tSwift announced the releases on her Instagram Story<\/a>, sharing Apple Music links to both versions of the song. The tracks are also available for purchase individually for 99 cents each via her website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe original studio version of \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d was released on Friday (June 5)<\/a> and will appear on the soundtrack for Toy Story 5. The fifth installment in the animated franchise is set to hit theaters on June 19, with the soundtrack arriving the same day.<\/p>\n

\n\tSwift officially revealed<\/a> on June 1 that she would be contributing \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d to Toy Story 5, while also offering physical copies of the song through her website. The acoustic and piano renditions had previously only been available as CD singles.<\/p>\n

\n\tWritten from Jessie\u2019s perspective, the song finds the cowgirl reflecting on cherished memories with Woody while rekindling her romance with Buzz Lightyear as the toys embark on new adventures together.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWriting this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once,\u201d Swift wrote on X<\/a>. \u201cAnd being a\u00a0@toystory\u00a0kid from the age of 5 til now\u2026 is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d also marks another collaboration between Swift and longtime producer Jack Antonoff.<\/p>\n

\n\tToy Story 5 director and screenwriter Andrew Stanton praised the collaboration, saying in a statement<\/a>, \u201cIt\u2019s incredible just how meaningful it\u2019s been having Taylor write and perform this song.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film reunites franchise stars Tom Hanks and Tim Allen as Woody and Buzz Lightyear, while Joan Cusack returns as Jessie. This time around, the beloved toys face a new challenge as technology and tablets compete for the attention of today\u2019s children.<\/p>\n
