Comedian and actress, Rosie O\u2019Donnel<\/a>l, looked half her age on the red carpet at the 2026 Tony Awards on Sunday, as she stepped out to showcase the results of her incredible transformation.<\/p>\n

The star removed her glasses to reveal a newly-revitalized complexion, as she candidly opened up about the journey she has been on with her skin following a 50lbs weight loss.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The mother of five\u2019s vulnerable plastic surgery confession came last month, surprising many, as she had publicly condemned the use of surgery for years. “I used to feel very strongly about facelifts. Not casually \u2013 morally. I had assigned myself as head of all women who would never \u2013 ever,” she shared in an essay on her Substack<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I thought it was a betrayal. Of feminism. Of aging. Of our team of women worldwide. And then I lost 50 pounds<\/a>\u2026”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rosie\u2019s dramatic weight loss meant that her face was ageing as well as ‘melting’, but her youngest daughter, Clay, had words to say on her mother\u2019s decision to undergo the procedure. “Young women look up to you. I wouldn’t be able to respect you if you did it”, she shared. “And that one\u2026 landed,” Rosie added, as she admitted Clay’s feelings on the matter closely mirrored her own at the same age.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The daytime host of the award-winning Rosie O’Donnell Show, then realised that the choice was a perfect opportunity to teach her daughter about bodily autonomy. “If I’m teaching clay anything, it can’t be that my body belongs to an idea either. Even a good idea. Even feminism.”<\/p>\n

Rosie\u2019s decision to reclaim the often controversial decision to undergo surgery, meant her transformation was positively received by fans who couldn\u2019t help but notice the star\u2019s new youthful complexion. Comments along the lines of “You’re beautiful! Do whatever makes you happy. It’s your body”, flooded the comedienne\u2019s comment section, as she shared a snippet of her Substack essay on instagram.<\/p>\n

While it seems the decision to go under the knife wasn\u2019t an easy one, the results are most certainly a confidence booster for the star, who oozed comfortability and elegance on the carpet on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Rosie opted for a sharp, geometric patterned blazer, with taupe accents and with matching suit pants. Her shoes were a glossy patent black and complimenting black nails completed the look.<\/p>\n

Regardless of anyone’s comments, Rosie continues to be a pillar of female empowerment, despite her self-proclaimed “existential feminist crisis”.<\/p>\n
