Laois and Down will meet in the Tailteann Cup quarter-final, a repeat of the 2024 decider won by the Mourne County.

Down bounced back from their surprise loss to Offaly by easing past Longford on Sunday, and they will be on the road again to Portlaoise this week where Laois boss Justin McNulty will reunite with Armagh 2002 All-Ireland winning team-mate Tony McEntee, part of Conor Laverty’s Down coaching team.

Fermanagh were denied the week off that three teams from the winners’ path received as they were drawn against New York in the preliminary quarter-final, but that comprehensive win on Saturday has secured a home date against Sligo.

There will be a Donegal feel to the tie with Declan Bonner in charge of the Erne County while 2012 All-Ireland winner Eamon McGee is part of Eamonn O’Hara and Dessie Sloyan’s Sligo backroom team.

Familiarity will also be a feature at Corrigan Park as Antrim host Wicklow.

Oisín McConville will bring the Garden County north to face a side managed by Mark Doran, previously his right-hand man at Wicklow.

The final quarter-final will see Offaly host a Wexford side that got the better of Leitrim at the weekend having held them scoreless in the first half.

Times and dates are to be confirmed on Monday evening with games to take place 13-14 June.
