{"id":490820,"date":"2026-06-09T15:20:17","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T15:20:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/490820\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T15:20:17","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T15:20:17","slug":"elle-drops-trailer-for-legally-blonde-prequel-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/490820\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Elle&#8217; Drops Trailer for &#8216;Legally Blonde&#8217; Prequel Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/elle\/\" id=\"auto-tag_elle_1\" data-tag=\"elle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Elle<\/a> is making her debut.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tPrime Video has released the official trailer and key art (above and below) for the highly anticipated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/legally-blonde\/\" id=\"auto-tag_legally-blonde_1\" data-tag=\"legally-blonde\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Legally Blonde<\/a> prequel series, which releases all eight episodes on July 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tPrime already ordered an early <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/legally-blonde-prequel-elle-renewed-season-2-prime-video-1236480691\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/legally-blonde-prequel-elle-renewed-season-2-prime-video-1236480691\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">season two renewal.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe prequel series follows the title character Elle, who is played by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/legally-blonde-prequel-elle-woods-lexi-minetree-1236135696\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lexi Minetree<\/a>, as a high school student. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/reese-witherspoon\/\" id=\"auto-tag_reese-witherspoon_1\" data-tag=\"reese-witherspoon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reese Witherspoon<\/a> \u2014\u00a0who played the character in two\u00a0Legally Blonde\u00a0movies in the early 2000s \u2014 is among the executive producers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMinetree was cast in the title role Feburary 2025; June Diane Raphael,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/tom-everett-scott-amazon-legally-blonde-prequel-elle-1236171497\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Everett Scott<\/a>, Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, Chandler Kinney and Zac Looker also star.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe first season follows Elle Woods before she was a fish-out-of-water at Harvard. Here\u2019s the logline: \u201cWe meet her in 1995 as a fish in the tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices. Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone, and forms an even tighter bond to her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they have each other. With each challenge she faces, Elle grows closer to the Elle Woods we know and love today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tElle is produced by Amazon MGM Studios in association with Hello Sunshine. Created by Laura Kittrell (High School, Insecure),\u00a0Elle\u00a0is co-showrun and executive produced by Kittrell and Caroline Dries. Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Amanda Brown, Marc Platt and Brad Van Arragon executive produce. Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) directed the first two episodes and is an executive producer.
