Gracie Abrams<\/a> has always been a #relatablequeen, singing about the ways in which she\u2019s embarrassing herself in relationships and writing intentionally conversational lyrics. And what is more relatable than your partner starting something you love as a hobby and suddenly being way too good at it for comfort? Ahead of her album Daughter From Hell<\/a>, out July 17, Abrams has a Vogue<\/a> cover story, and she revealed that her boyfriend, actor Paul Mescal, has surpassed her skills at guitar. \u201cSo much better than I\u2019ve ever been,\u201d she said. Mescal already played the instrument, but he burrowed in to mastering it to prep for his role as Paul McCartney in Sam Mendes\u2019s upcoming four-part series of Beatles movies. McCartney was the band\u2019s bassist, so we can\u2019t wait to see Mescal pluck out the tune to \u201cGet Back.\u201d<\/p>\n For what it\u2019s worth, Abrams will be edging her way into Mescal\u2019s chosen career, too. The musician is starring in Babygirl filmmaker Halina Reijn\u2019s upcoming A24 movie, Please.
