It is June, which means that the Irish festival season is well and truly under way, with Wicklow\u2019s Beyond the Pale<\/a>, the first big music event, taking place this weekend. <\/p>\n

The boutique festival will welcome 12,000-plus fans to Glendalough<\/a> Estate from Friday to Sunday. Here is everything you need to know. <\/p>\n

When does it start and finish?<\/p>\n

The 2026 Beyond the Pale festival takes place from Friday June 12th to Sunday June 14th. <\/p>\n

Early access is available for keen campers from 4-9pm on Thursday June 11th at a cost of \u20ac10 per person. Tickets are available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Camper van or caravan pass ticket holders do not need an early entry ticket to park up on Thursday evening. <\/p>\n

Who is playing?<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s headliners are Caribou, Soulwax, Father John Misty, Primal Scream<\/a> and Mike D of the Beastie Boys. <\/p>\n

Further down the playlist are Icelandic indie rockers Of Monsters and Men and American DJ Honey Dijon. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty of home-grown talent too including Cabra rapper Kojaque, trad supergroup BIIRD and Galway outfit NewDad. <\/p>\n

What\u2019s the story with the camping? <\/p>\n

Well, that depends on the kind of ticket you have. <\/p>\n

All weekend tickets include camping, with small bell tents up to 4m in size permitted. Weekend ticket holders\u2019 tents should not exceed the size of a six- to eight-person tent.<\/p>\n

If you want to experience a little bit more luxury, there are glamping options available, ranging from \u20ac660 to \u20ac1,140 (prices are per tent rather than per person). Glamping includes access to spa treatments, free phone charging, a pamper tent and a private bar. <\/p>\n

There is a camper van and caravan add-on to tickets, which is priced at \u20ac156.75 per vehicle for the weekend.<\/p>\n

Will we be fed, watered and showered?<\/p>\n

There are plenty of food options at this year\u2019s Beyond The Pale, ranging from food trucks to premium sit-down dining options<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Ranelagh\u2019s<\/a> Host, Rathmines\u2019s<\/a> Reggie\u2019s Pizzeria<\/a> and West Africa-inspired IBILE ratchet up the eats fare a notch or two as part of the food wing of the weekend: Beyond The Plate. <\/p>\n

There will be dedicated showers at both the main campsite and the glamping campsite. All showers are free of charge. <\/p>\n

How do I get there?<\/p>\n

A bus service offering festivalgoers transfers from Dublin city centre and Bray Dart station will operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with prices from \u20ac25 return. Tickets and further information is available here<\/a>. <\/p>\n

If driving, general camping, glamping, family camping and day ticket holders are advised to drive to Roundwood, Co Wicklow and follow festival signage to Gate 2. <\/p>\n

Camper van and caravans are told to drive to Annamoe, Co Wicklow and to follow festival signage to Gate 1.<\/p>\n

Can I bring alcohol?<\/p>\n

Alcohol can be brought on site at time of first entry only. Once that wristband has been attached, there will be no cheeky offie runs. <\/p>\n

Weekend camping ticket holders will be allowed to bring 24 cans or 1 litre of spirits or two bottles of wine on site for personal consumption.<\/p>\n

No glass containers are permitted on site, and single-day ticket holders are not permitted to bring alcohol. <\/p>\n

What\u2019s the age policy?<\/p>\n

Beyond The Pale operates a strict over-21s rule with the exception of children, who must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian. <\/p>\n

All children aged 12 or below must be accompanied by a paying parent or guardian aged over 21. Children between 13 and 17 must be accompanied by a paying guardian or parent who is over 25 years of age. <\/p>\n

What will the weather be like? <\/p>\n

Festival organisers are probably burying the Child of Prague statue as we speak. According to Met \u00c9ireann, though, weather looks to be mostly good. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s some light rain on Thursday that is set to clear by 2pm, Friday will be mostly cloudy, there\u2019s even some sunshine forecast for Saturday, while Sunday will be back to normal service with a cloudy outlook. Temperatures are expected to range between 13 and 17 degrees. <\/p>\n

Are there any tickets left?<\/p>\n

Tickets are available on Ticketmaster<\/a>. Weekend adult tickets are priced at \u20ac285.75 each, weekend under-12 tickets are \u20ac43.90 each and under-18 tickets are priced at \u20ac55.15. <\/p>\n
