One Cork<\/a> man has become nearly \u20ac200,000 richer overnight – and nobody is more surprised than him.<\/p>\n

The player won a whopping \u20ac195,442 EuroMillions<\/a> prize after matching five numbers and one Lucky Star in the Tuesday, May 19 draw, with a ticket purchased online. When he realised he had a win on his hands, he was ready for a handful on change – but was shocked to find a huge six-figure sum waiting for him.<\/p>\n

He explained: \u201cWhen I logged into my account to check my ticket, I was expecting to see \u20ac3, certainly not \u20ac195,442! I always thought I\u2019d be jumping up and down if this ever happened, but I stayed surprisingly calm and collected.\u201d<\/p>\n

He has no major celebrations planned just yet – and is wisely letting the moment sink as he decides what to do with his winnings.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, in Tipperary, one woman made the journey to National Lottery HQ after winning \u20ac45,140 in the Telly Bingo draw on Thursday, June 4. Her winning ticket was purchased from The Cabin on Main Street, Carrick on Suir, Co. Tipperary.<\/p>\n

It was a lucky second win for the Tipp player, who has already won a Telly Bingo Snowball prize before. She said: \u201cI always like to have my tickets sorted in advance of the draws, so I had this one sitting in the cupboard a week ahead of the draw. I didn\u2019t get to watch it live, so later that day, I watched it on catch-up with a cup of tea.<\/p>\n

“I honestly had to play it twice just to make sure I wasn\u2019t seeing things or marked a wrong number off. I really couldn\u2019t believe that I’d won. I\u2019m definitely calmer winning this time, but I\u2019m still absolutely over the moon – I even hid the ticket in the back of my wardrobe, the exact spot I hid my previous winning ticket!\u201d<\/p>\n
