Tomas Feuller and Adam Hencek died just weeks after their wedding<\/p>\n

The deaths of a newlywed young couple have plunged a community into mourning in Co Tipperary. Adam Hencek and Tomas Fueller died within days of each other, just a month after their wedding day.<\/p>\n

A joint cremation ceremony was held for the couple, from Carrick-on-Suir and formerly from Slovakia, at the Island Crematorium, in Ringaskiddy, Cork last week.<\/p>\n

Adam, 23, died unexpectedly at the couple’s home on Tuesday, June 2nd. Tragically, his husband Tomas, 25, died at home on Friday. Their deaths came just weeks after they celebrated their wedding day.<\/p>\n

Tomas Feuller, 25, and Adam Hencek, 23, were from Slovakia and living in Carrick-on-Suir,<\/p>\n

The couple, originally from Partizanske and Malacky in Slovakia, have been described as having an “energy and love of life” that was “infectious.” Their death notice reads they will be sadly missed by their loving families, including Adam’s parents, Peter and Lubica and Tomas’ grandparents, Jozefa and Milan. A GoFundMe has been launched oby Adam’s aunt, Mirka Kohutovi\u010dov\u00e1, to help with funeral costs after such an unexpected tragedy.<\/p>\n

Over \u20ac12,000 has poured in from donors across Ireland and Slovakia to support their families. Mirka wrote: “I am fundraising for the joint funeral of my nephew Adam Hencek and his husband Tomas Feuller, who tragically passed away on 02.06.2026 and 05.06.2026, respectively.<\/p>\n

“We would greatly appreciate any donations to help fund the wake and the cremation of the newlyweds,” she said, and thanked all those who supported them during such a devastating time.<\/p>\n

The newlyweds’ unexpected death has sent shock waves through the community<\/p>\n

She provided an update: We really appreciate all of the donations. We reached our goal thanks to all of your help which we are so grateful for. Thank you all for supporting our family at this time.”<\/p>\n

Tributes have been paid to the couple, with many from their friends in Tipperay expressing their heartbreak. One friend of Tomas, said: “To my darling friend, my condolences on your passing to your family at this sad time. Especially to your beloved Tomas. You were the brightest light on this earth and I know you’ll be the brightest star. You will be beyond missed”.<\/p>\n

Another said: “So sad… Adam taught me piano briefly, he was a brilliant teacher and a gentleman.. My thoughts are with Adam’s family and friends at this awfully sad time, may he rest in peace”. While a third added: “Very sad to hear this.
