A woman and teenage girl who are charged in connection with the fatal assault of Scarlett Faulkner have been further remanded in custody at Nenagh District Court.<\/p>\n
The 17-year-old accused is charged with assault causing serious harm to Ms Faulkner, 29, at the R494 Birdhill, Co Tipperary, on 21 March last.<\/p>\n
The accused girl appeared before Judge Marie Keane via video-link and spoke only to confirm her name and that she could hear and see the proceedings.<\/p>\n
The court was told a psychological assessment in respect of the accused girl is under way.<\/p>\n
A co-accused 40-year-old woman also appeared before the court today.<\/p>\n
The woman, who is charged with violent disorder, endangerment and burglary, appeared before the court via a video-link from a remand prison.<\/p>\n
The court was told that a file is with the Director of Public Prosecutions in respect of both accused and an application was made for a four-week adjournment.<\/p>\n
The application was consented to by solicitor John Herbert, Herbert & Co Sols, Limerick, on behalf of both accused.<\/p>\n
Judge Keane adjourned the case until 10 July for directions from the DPP.<\/p>\n
Both accused were further remanded in custody to appear before the court again via video-link on that date.<\/p>\n
