Beyond that, Musk proclaimed a grand ambition for his company: to make a \u201cmaximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe.\u201d Musk\u2019s cofounders came from the top AI labs and tech companies, including Google\u2019s DeepMind, OpenAI, Microsoft and Tesla.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmq9u4feo00043b6suy067aj9@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Grok, xAi\u2019s chatbot, was unveiled in November 2023 and by December was officially integrated with X, formerly Twitter. Musk has called Grok the most truthful and therefore \u201csafe\u201d AI. But Grok is also far more risque than the other chatbots, with \u201cspicy\u201d and \u201cconspiracy\u201d modes and AI companion bots that are known to quickly delve into intimate conversations.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmq9u4feo00053b6swiiz7vxq@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            While Grok has generally scored well on AI model benchmarks, it\u2019s still not considered competitive with Anthropic and OpenAI\u2019s models. It is, however, the only model with access to real-time X data, making it the strongest option for live social media intelligence and trend monitoring.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmq9u4feo00063b6s57o6fo47@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            xAI has also heavily invested in AI infrastructure, including Colossus, currently the world\u2019s largest artificial intelligence supercomputer, located in Memphis, Tennessee.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmq9u4feo00073b6s37hw7f15@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            In 2025, xAI acquired X in an all-stock deal.
