October 1, 2027: yes, it\u2019s nearly 500 days in the future. But in a world where the release date for The Batman Part II<\/a> has shifted an alarming number of times<\/a>, fans can finally grasp a shred of reassurance that Matt Reeves\u2019 much-anticipated sequel will actually arrive as planned. That reassurance came from the writer-director himself today, who made like his buddy, DC Studios head James Gunn<\/a>, to share an exciting image on social media.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s just a slate\u2014not a fresh glimpse of a black-clad Robert Pattinson setting his features to \u201cglower\u201d\u2014but hey, we\u2019ll take it. Here we go indeed!<\/p>\n

As of right now, all we really know about The Batman Part II is its release date, the fact that it\u2019s started filming, and its cast members (although we don\u2019t yet know who the new additions, recently confirmed by Reeves<\/a>, will be playing).<\/p>\n

We can, however, confidently say it\u2019ll be another dark tale set in Gotham. The Batman Part II stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne\/Batman, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb, Gil Perez-Abraham as Officer Martinez, and Jayme Lawson as Bella Re\u00e1l. It will also feature Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry, Charles Dance, and Sebastian Koch. We wouldn\u2019t count out Barry Keoghan, but so far that\u2019s just a guess.<\/p>\n
