{"id":496972,"date":"2026-06-13T01:09:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-13T01:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/496972\/"},"modified":"2026-06-13T01:09:16","modified_gmt":"2026-06-13T01:09:16","slug":"book-of-evidence-to-be-served-next-month-on-man-accused-of-dangerous-driving-causing-harm-in-tralee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/496972\/","title":{"rendered":"Book of evidence to be served next month on man accused of dangerous driving causing harm in Tralee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The book of evidence will be served next month on a man accused of dangerous driving causing serious harm in Tralee.<\/p>\n<p>The update was provided at Tralee District Court recently in the case of 30-year-old Ioan Plumb, of Pluckeen, Caherslee, Tralee.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Plumb faces one charge in relation to the alleged incident.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s alleged that shortly after 7am on October 1st 2025, that Ioan Plumb <a href=\"https:\/\/revisedacts.lawreform.ie\/eli\/1961\/act\/24\/section\/53\/revised\/en\/html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">drove dangerously causing bodily harm<\/a> to a cyclist.<\/p>\n<p>A man in his 40s was taken to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of serious injuries, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/cyclist-seriously-injured-following-collision-in-tralee-453858\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">following a collision<\/a> between a car and a bike.<\/p>\n<p>The accused appeared in person before Judge David Waters at Tralee District Court in relation to the alleged incident.<\/p>\n<p>Sergeant Chris Manton advised that the state solicitor Diane Reidy confirmed the book of evidence will be ready in four-weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Plumb\u2019s solicitor, Brendan Ahern acknowledged this and applied for a Romanian interpreter to be available on the date.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Waters remanded Mr Plumb on continuing bail, to appear before Tralee District Court on July 8th for the book of evidence to be served.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The book of evidence will be served next month on a man accused of dangerous driving causing serious&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":496973,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[30505,61,60,43],"class_list":["post-496972","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-ireland","tag-harm","tag-ie","tag-ireland","tag-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/496972","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=496972"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/496972\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/496973"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=496972"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=496972"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=496972"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
