The 40-foot-tall shirtless torso and banners surrounding it feature several accusations about the Grok artificial intelligence tool<\/a>, including \u201cSpaceX\u2019s Grok makes AI child porn.\u201d\u200b<\/p>\n The accusation comes after critics and online safety organizations alleged that the A.I. tool was used to produce sexual images<\/a>, which included children. X – which is also owned by Musk – has previously said that it takes action against illegal content on the platform by removing it, suspending accounts and working with law enforcement. <\/p>\n SpaceX is slated to make its widely anticipated stock market debut<\/a> in the U.S Friday and break records for a company\u2019s first stock offering. <\/p>\n The huge inflatable was flanked by activists, who, according to Wired<\/a>, would not speak to members of the media. \u200b<\/p>\n When CBS News Reporter Jared Ochacher went to the site to investigate the installation, he managed to speak to some of the activists surrounding it. \u200b<\/p>\n \u201cI asked the people working here questions like, \u2018Who hired you?\u2019 and \u2018Is it a company or a person behind this?\u2019 but they wouldn\u2019t say anything,\u201d Ochacher said in a video on X<\/a>. \u201cThey told me they\u2019ve been directed to stand here for the day and hand out flyers like these with similar talking points as the signs, and a QR code that takes you to Grok\u2019s website.\u201d\u200b<\/p>\n Grok, an artificial intelligence tool owned by Musk\u2019s xAI, has been at the center of a storm of controversy <\/a>in recent months.<\/p>\n In January, the U.K.-based Internet Watch Foundation\u2019s Head of Hotline Ngaire Alexander wrote on X<\/a> that the organization\u2019s analysts had \u201cdiscovered criminal imagery of children aged between 11 and 13 which appears to have been created using the tool.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe imagery we have seen so far is not on X itself, but a dark web forum where users claim they have used Grok Imagine to create the imagery, which includes sexualized and topless imagery of girls,\u201d Alexander wrote. <\/p>\n An analysis by the Center for Countering Digital Hate<\/a> claimed that Grok flooded the social media site X with over three million \u201csexualized images.\u201d\u200b Around 23,000 of the images allegedly contained children. \u200b<\/p>\n \u201cWe remain committed to making X a safe platform for everyone and continue to have zero tolerance for any forms of child sexual exploitation, non-consensual nudity, and unwanted sexual content,\u201d a statement<\/a> shared by X\u2019s Safety account read in January. <\/p>\n The statement also said that the firm took action to remove child sex abuse material and to report accounts seeking the materials to law enforcement when necessary. <\/p>\n \u201cWe have implemented technological measures to prevent the [@]Grok account on X globally from allowing the editing of images of real people in revealing clothing such as bikinis,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n Grok\u2019s owner, xAI, is itself owned by SpaceX<\/a>.
