It’s the news This City Is Ours fans have been eagerly anticipating for the last 12 months since the BBC announced its renewal: when is the second season coming?

A 17-second teaser of the critically lauded drama shows some of the show’s major characters Michael (James Nelson-Joyce) and Diana (Hannah Onslow) in Spain enjoying the high life before they are pulled in to answer questions around Ricardo’s death.

Soundtracked to ‘I’ve Gotta Be Me’ by Paul Anka, the tension builds and the Spanish sunshine is eclipsed by darkness with a voice saying over the music: “This is just the beginning… for you – a nightmare.”
