OpenText will be expanding in Cork<\/p>\n
A Canadian company that already has 150 staff working in Cork is planning to double their Irish workforce – working at the cutting edge of data management for Artitical Intelligence (AI) firms.<\/p>\n
OpenText has been operating in Cork Airport Business Park since 2014 and has today announced a \u20ac105 million investment that will create 400 new jobs across the company\u2019s sites in Ireland over the next three years.<\/p>\n
The commitment, which doubles OpenText\u2019s investment in Ireland, will significantly expand the company\u2019s agentic AI, cybersecurity, sovereign cloud, and digital operations capabilities in service of European, Middle East & African (EMEA) economies and public sectors.<\/p>\n
This is the single largest investment into Ireland by a technology company headquartered in Canada. The \u20ac105 million investment is directed at operations and R&D across three areas foundational to trusted enterprise AI \u2014 agentic AI, sovereign cloud, and cybersecurity \u2014 that will create high-skilled roles at OpenText in Cork and Galway. Irish-based developers and researchers will design, deploy, secure and operate these AI & cloud capabilities for EMEA markets.<\/p>\n
OpenText announced the investment in Dublin marking a significant milestone in Canada-Ireland technology and economic collaboration. It comes as Canadian prime minister Mark Carney is visiting Ireland.<\/p>\n

OpenText\u2019s expanded European operations will increase regional capacity for organisations operating in highly regulated and mission-critical environments, including organisations requiring greater control over data governance, cyber resilience, and cloud deployment models.<\/p>\n
The company says the investment is part of OpenText\u2019s cloud-of-choice strategy to enable clients with the flexibility to operate across hybrid public cloud, private cloud, and sovereign cloud systems.<\/p>\n
