Anyone looking for more pre-match info on the Haitians? Let us introduce you to some of their key players…

Wilson Isidor scored six Premier League goals for Sunderland last season. A former France Under-21 international, he is a vital component of Haiti’s counter-attacking gameplan and comes into this game in good form, having scored four goals in his past nine games for club and country.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde joined Wolves from Strasbourg for £12.8m in 2023 and has made a big impact since being recruited by Haiti head coach Sebastien Migne last year.

He started all six games in the final round of qualifying as Haiti won three and drew two of six matches on their way to reaching the World Cup for just a second time.

Bellegarde joined Wolves from Strasbourg in 2023 and has made 83 Premier League appearances over the past three seasons.

Johny Placide is Haiti’s veteran goalkeeper and the heartbeat of the team. He once played for Oldham in League One but the past five campaigns have been spent with Bastia in the French second tier.

And some Scottish football fans might be familiar with Duckens Nazon, who had a brief loan spell at St Mirren in 2019.

Haiti’s all-time record scorer has been following a personal fitness plan before the World Cup after war in Iran ended his club campaign with Esteghlal.

He was forced to flee the county through Azerbaijan having seen bombs “land 100 metres away”. He starts on the bench.

[3
42,43,40,38,41,39
post-498472","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-headlines","tag-headlines","tag-news","tag-top-news","tag-top-stories","tag-topnews","tag-topstories
["GET
