A man in his 40s has died, and four others were injured in a two-car collision on the L1135 near Pullagh, Pallasgreen, Co Limerick, on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The collision occurred shortly before 10pm on Sunday night, garda\u00ed said.<\/p>\n
The man was the driver and single occupant of a car and was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n
His body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.<\/p>\n
A female driver aged in her 50s and a teenage girl were both conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries.<\/p>\n
A female passenger aged in her 20s and a teenage boy were conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
The road is closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.<\/p>\n
Local diversions are in place and garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward.<\/p>\n
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the L1135 near Pullagh, Pallasgreen, Co Limerick between 9:30pm and 10pm on Sunday are asked to make this available to investigating garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na said it is aware that images and video footage related to this incident are circulating on social media and messaging platforms.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who receives this content to refrain from sharing or reposting it further.<\/p>\n
