Jones stars as 55-year-old Shelley Anne, an environmental health officer going through a bitter divorce, while Speirs appears as 60-year-old Clive, a retired teacher and widower.<\/p>\n
The first-look image (above) shows Jones and Spiers on set, with the former holding a clapperboard in front of a shop in Brynfach \u2013 the fictional village where the series is set.<\/p>\n
Filming is taking place in and around South Wales including the Brecon Beacons.<\/p>\n

Jones said in a statement: \u201cIn a funny way this show has been 35 years in the making, which is when I first met Steve.”<\/p>\n
She added: “It\u2019s not that we\u2019re slow writers it\u2019s just that we\u2019ve been up to other things. It\u2019s fantastic to be back in front of the camera with him again.\u201d<\/p>\n
Speirs went on: \u201cOur first time acting together for quite a long time, Ruth makes me laugh more than anyone and I\u2019m a terrible giggler. This could be a long shoot.\u201d <\/p>\n
